Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Specialist
Location: Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform screening mammograms and bone density exams.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Must provide copies of licenses, certifications, proof of continuing education, and mammogram statistics.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card).
- BLS (Basic Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card).
- National Tech Certification as applicable.
- State License verification (primary source online verification).
- NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually).
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER & Behavioral Health units.
Required Background Checks and Documents
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
- Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start).
- Background Check within 30 days of start, including:
- SS Trace and County searches for last 7 years of locations lived/worked/schooled.
- Nationwide and Sex Offender searches.
- Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate (PA Patch search).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start.
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start.
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprinting (specific process and follow-up required).
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year of start.
- Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB.
- Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination.
- Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1); declinations accepted.
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score).
- Competency Exam with minimum passing score of 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher.

- Assessment of Patient Policy

- Skin Integrity Training
- Mobility Training
- Catheter Training
- Religious and Medical COVID Exemptions (if applicable) must be properly documented.
References and Skills
- 2 Professional References required for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care roles.
- 1 Professional Reference required for Per Diem Non-Acute Care roles.
- Skills Checklist required annually.
