Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (Outpatient)

Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday)
• Focus on outpatient hand therapy
• Experience required with post-operative hand surgeries and splinting
• Responsible for patient evaluation, development, and implementation of treatment plans

Required Qualifications

Education

• BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting

Licensure

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon

Additional Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine or facility-specific declination
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (year-round)
• Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting
• References: 2 references within the last 2 years showing 1 year in a comparable specialty, with at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification
