Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Bloomington, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Saturday through Monday (Evening shift, 3x12 hours, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- On-call: No
- Floating: No
- Block Schedule: To be discussed
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Unit & Case Information
- Work involves CT exams for ER patients, in-patient, and out-patient settings
- Required CT experience with: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, CT Angiography (CTAs), Multiplanar reconstruction
- Required skills: IV starts & Contrast administration
- Preferred experience: PACS, Siemens equipment, FUJI PACS
- Preferred case types: Aspirations/Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Colonography, CT Arthrography, Drainage, Myelography
- Community hospital experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- National certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ARRT Advanced Certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including:
- 7-year work/lived history verification
- SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education verification and transcript/diploma (official copies required)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months (approved respirators only)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tuberculosis test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap strongly recommended
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
- Skills checklist and competency exams required annually
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with supervisory titles, verified within 2 years
- Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30+ days
