Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3rd shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Description

• Perform and coordinate CT procedures, including administering contrast material under physician direction.
• Set exposure factors according to established protocols and operate CT equipment, adjusting as necessary.
• Work independently or as part of an imaging team.
• Promote behaviors that meet and exceed customer needs and support the mission of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio.
• ARRT certification, including ARRT (CT).
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Ability to carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area is required (based on employment application requirements).
• No explicit prior travel experience required.

Compliance and Background Checks

• Background check required prior to start, including a 7-year FCRA-compliant search.
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually.
• Fingerprinting results must be received prior to contract extension.
• Education verification required for all candidates.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions.
• Fit mask testing completed onsite during orientation; annual renewals onsite.
• Immunizations required with official documentation:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions reviewed case-by-case).
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold) within 6 months of start.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers.
  • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination.
• Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption with required facility-specific documentation.
• Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually.

Certifications & Training

• Annual completion of unit-specific competency exams.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually.
• Facility-specific online training modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 4 hours).
• Radiation badge provided by facility when applicable.

References and Documentation

• Two professional references within 1 year of start required (from manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care.
• Skills checklist required annually.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized CT technologist role on a travel contract basis with a defined 13-week assignment in Ohio. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, health, and compliance requirements prior to starting.
