Job Opportunity: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant

Shift Details

• Monday to Friday
• Shift hours typically 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Possible earlier start (5:30 AM to 2:00 PM) when assigned to heart cases
• Every third weekend required
• Call required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• At least one completed travel assignment
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with CVOR First Assist experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Documentation and Compliance

• Two professional references within 12 months required; at least one must be from a supervisor or charge nurse
• Resume/application required
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year
• Background checks and verifications must be current and updated for contract renewals

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during work hours
• Fit test cannot expire before contract end date; PAPR training preferred if fit test is failed
• Heart cases start earlier than main OR cases
• This position requires prior travel experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
