Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Vascular

Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 19:30 - 06:00
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40


Job Description

  • Perform vascular ultrasound studies including but not limited to:
    • Aorta, Arterial Graft Studies, Arterial Mapping
    • Carotid, Color Flow, Dialysis Grafts
    • Doppler Studies, Duplex
    • Lower and Upper Extremity Arterial and Venous
    • Stents, M-Mode, Peripheral Vascular Resistance
    • Renal Artery Duplex, Transcranial Doppler
  • Use equipment such as GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Vascular ultrasound systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Vascular Sonographer license in Oregon
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Vascular Sonographer
  • Experience as a Vascular Sonographer within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with vascular ultrasound equipment listed.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Additional certifications such as Chemotherapy, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification may be preferred depending on unit.
  • Competency in Telemetry skills if applicable to unit.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must complete fit mask testing onsite within the first week of starting.
  • Background checks and verifications must be current and may require re-running if there is a break in service.
  • Candidates may start with some immunization boosters or education verifications pending but must complete within specified timeframes.
  • References must include at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months.
  • Facility dress code and parking information will be provided upon hire.

This position offers a night shift schedule with a focus on vascular ultrasound diagnostics using advanced imaging equipment in a hospital setting.
