Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position available in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 1 teaching facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must meet the listed qualifications.
Job Details:
- Location: Burlington, Vermont
- Schedule: Rotating day/evening shifts
- Shift Hours: 12 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience; prior travel experience preferred, especially in larger (500+ bed) teaching facilities and multiple ERs; EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years required
- Location Requirements: Must have a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Vermont
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior), other de-escalation training such as Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
- Additional Information:
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) are required for submission
- Schedule includes every other weekend and possible schedule adjustments to meet patient care needs
- No block schedules are available
- Bi-weekly orientations are conducted on Mondays
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
