Description
Job Summary:
This position is for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in Asheville, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized care in a high-acuity CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) / CVRU (Cardiovascular Recovery Unit) environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
- Start Date: 07/06/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, Critical Care training, 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience, Cerner EMR proficiency, certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Recovery Room care, high energy and an upbeat personality.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Recovery Room care.
- Schedule: Days
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Nurse will arrive to the unit no earlier than 7 minutes prior or after shift start at 6:45 AM. Overtime must be approved by Certified Nurse Coordinators (CNCs). Every other weekend and on-call responsibilities are expected. Extra days off in the contract are available.
