Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Bismarck, North Dakota. The role involves managing conscious sedation procedures within the IR department, requiring autonomy in case management, charting, and patient care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
- Schedule: 2x10-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts, or all 8-hour shifts; shifts are from 0700-1530 and 0600-1630.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant setting; experience in moderate sedation; willingness to help out as needed; teamwork orientation.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Radiation Badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start. The assignment includes orientation: one week of classroom and lab training. The role involves managing conscious sedation with autonomy, charting, circulating, pre- and post-procedure care for IR patients. Team leads and IR technicians are present during shifts, with team scheduling posted 17 days prior for 6-week increments. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week, with the possibility of call every third weekend and after-hours on-call responsibilities, with a response time of 30 minutes.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Emergency and Equipment: EMR systems used include EPIC, Philips Xper (Hemo), and Siemens C-Arm. Team Lead and supervisor are onsite, and radiology pre/post care is provided. Internal policies require bring-your-own lock for lockers and hospital-designated shoes.
