Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a float unit assignment in a psychiatric inpatient setting located in Brattleboro, Vermont. This role involves providing specialized care across multiple inpatient psychiatric units, including Child Psych, Adolescent Psych, Adult Psych, Emerging Adult, Adult Intensive, LGBT Psych, and Co-Occurring Disorder/Dual Diagnosis. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
  • Start Date: 06/22/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Five years of experience as a registered nurse (RN), with inpatient psychiatric experience within the last three months. Candidates must possess a current Vermont or Compact license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and have recent psychiatric/behavioral health experience with all relevant age groups listed on the resume.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with psych skills checklist from within the last year, two supervisory references from the past two years, and willingness to float to other units with the ability to take charge shifts.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must submit a resume detailing psych experience and patient populations served, include a recent psych skills checklist, supervisory references, and their driver's license or address (within 35 miles of the facility if applicable). Scheduling requests and patient population experience should be outlined in the submission.
