Currently, we have a 13 week travel assignment available for an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Manager. The assignment is at MercyOne Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa. Starting ASAP.
Position Purpose:
The Supervisor of Behavioral Health will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the Behavioral Health Unit with oversight from the COO/CNO and will be expected to create an environment that is responsive to physician needs and that will strengthen and support a positive working relationship with the physician community. Monitors adherence to the philosophy, goals, and mission of MercyOne Clinton and observes the requirements of the Nurse Practice Act of Iowa and the Standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Iowa.
Must have bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended.
The position requires a high degree of interpersonal skill to deal with a range of complicated problem situations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
Ability to problem solve at all levels.
An open and flexible person who can deal with ambiguity and change.
Computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the position.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, values, and cultural beliefs of MercyOne.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements of a FirstChoice Nurse:
