Qualifications:

• Must hold a current and valid Psychologist license issued by the California Board of Psychology.
• A minimum of 12 continuous months of relevant experience within the last 3 years (post-licensure; internship/practicum hours not applicable).
• Must be proficient in spoken and written English to ensure effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a full range of psychological services under the clinical direction of the Senior Psychologist or Chief of Mental Health.
• Conduct psychological evaluations, develop diagnostic impressions, and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Lead and participate in individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis interventions, including cell-front contacts as required.
• Complete mental status examinations, review clinical records, and utilize collateral data to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Actively contribute to Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTT) meetings and ensure thorough documentation of all clinical interventions.
• Support institutional transitions and discharge planning, facilitating appropriate referrals to community-based mental health resources.
• Uphold institutional safety and security standards by maintaining therapeutic boundaries and following correctional procedures.
• Remain in compliance with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) laws, policies, and operational guidelines.
