Job Description: RN - Clinical Supervisor (Labor & Delivery)
Location: Washington, DC
Shift: 12 HR Day Shift (4 x 12s)
Contract Duration: 8 weeks
Start Date: 30/10/2025
Pay rate : $ 75 - $ 80 / hourly on W2
Job Discerption :
We are seeking an experienced RN Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical oversight and leadership in the Labor & Delivery unit during the day shift. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care, staff coordination, and resource utilization within a high-acuity hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee shift-to-shift clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, and resource utilization.
Maintain the environment of care, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Provide competent and compassionate nursing care appropriate to patient age groups served in Labor & Delivery.
Serve as a role model for organizational values and professional standards.
Lead and participate in departmental process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Facilitate employee engagement activities, including involvement in professional/shared governance.
Required Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state (Washington, DC).
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery clinical experience.
Certification requirements:
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring – Required
Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.
