Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Overview

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, trauma, or acute illness in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and implement appropriate nursing interventions for emergency patients.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and perform procedures per clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, efficient care.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations including codes and trauma activations.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
