Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular / Electrophysiology Lab (Cath Lab)

Location: Kent Campus Hospital
Pay Range: $34.27 – $56.01 hourly
Status: Full-time (80 hours) | Variable Shifts | On-call required

About the Role

Kent Campus Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) team. The RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional neurology procedures.

The ideal candidate brings ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab experience and demonstrates excellence in critical thinking, technical proficiency, and collaborative patient care.

⚠️ Note: New grads and nurses with only Med/Surg experience are not being considered at this time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare procedure rooms and patients for cardiac, EP, and neuro-interventional procedures
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases including:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Peripheral interventions
- Electrophysiology studies, pacemaker & ICD insertions/revisions
- Structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAAO)
- Neuro-interventional procedures (carotid stenting, thrombectomy, aneurysm embolization, TCAR)
Administer and monitor procedural sedation per hospital policy
Monitor hemodynamic data and maintain accurate documentation (MacLab/CardioLab systems)
Participate in Time Out and Full Stop safety protocols
Ensure safe, therapeutic environments and uphold patient privacy
Provide thorough handoffs and coordinate post-procedure care
Serve as preceptor and mentor to new team members
Participate in ongoing education and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

Active RN License (Delaware or Compact)
BLS and ACLS required
BSN preferred (or Associate Degree/Nursing Diploma with BSN completion within 36 months of hire)
Required Experience: ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab
Preferred Experience: Previous Cardiovascular and/or EP Lab RN experience

Schedule: Variable shifts; must participate in on-call rotation (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
Environment: High-acuity procedural lab setting
