Description

Requirements:

Certs: BLS & ACLS required; PALS preferred
Experience: Must have PACU experience (Phase 1 & 2) in an acute care hospital
Must have critical care background and be able to read/interpret EKG rhythms
Preferred: Pediatric, Pre-op, and Meditech experience

Ratios: Phase 1: 1:2 Phase 2/Pre-op: 1:2–1:3 Floating: Within RN scope of practice Common Cases: Ortho, general, urology, GYN, sports medicine, breast, podiatry, spine, vascular, pediatrics Charting: Meditech Local Travelers: Accepted, no pay difference Additional Info: Must pass a rhythm interpretation test on day one (Afib, asystole, etc.). Test is pass/fail — failure results in immediate termination. Study guide provided before orientation.
