Job Summary Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as a scrub assistant while maintaining sterile technique. Operates imaging and monitoring equipment in the control room, documenting procedure images and key events accurately. Provides patient care under RN supervision, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout procedures. Educates patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations, recovery, and ongoing care. Assists with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper inventory of supplies and equipment for both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Completes all required documentation—daily notes, progress reports, discharge summaries, and productivity data—in accordance with departmental standards. Actively participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction. Recognizes and promptly addresses potential safety hazards for patients and staff. Upholds the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and consistently models professional and service-oriented behavior. Performs other related duties as assigned.
