CT Technologist 
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks
 

Job Duties

1. Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic CT images.
2. Perform daily quality control and calibration checks to ensure proper equipment function before patient studies.
3. Administer contrast or radioactive material per physician’s order and protocol.
4. Complete all required documentation, logs, and charge forms per department and regulatory guidelines.
5. Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests in compliance with radiation safety and ALARA principles.
6. Manage and retrieve patient images and data for radiologist interpretation.
7. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify activity levels before administration.
8. Report and document any equipment issues promptly.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to established protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after scans.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective communication throughout the imaging process.

Education & Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Required Certifications:
  • New York State License (L.R.T)
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications
  • BLS certification
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience
