🩺 Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) - Travel Assignment

This is a comprehensive job description for a travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, with a focus on robotic and Level I/II Trauma experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will possess deep proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for complex surgical procedures, particularly those involving the Davinci xi robot. This role requires independent functionality across a wide range of surgical specialties and the ability to thrive in a Level I/II Trauma environment.

Trauma Experience

Level I Trauma experience is required. (Must have at least Level II trauma experience for $>1$ year.)

Previous Travel

Required

Robotics Proficiency

Must be proficient (function independently with no need for "refresher training") with the Davinci xi robot.

Robotic Specialties

Must be proficient with robotic General, GYN, Thoracic, and Urology specialties.

System-Specific Robots

Davinci xi and DV5 are the only robots utilized. Experience with other robotic systems (e.g., ortho/neuro) is not applicable.

Specialty Independence

The traveler must be able to function independently (both scrubbing and circulating preferred) in all the following specialties:

Robotics (General, GYN, Thoracic, Urology)
Orthopedics
General Surgery
GYN
Urology
Bariatrics
ENT
Plastics
Vascular
Thoracic (Excluding Cardiac and Open Heart)
Trauma

Scheduling Model

No block scheduling (includes no floating block).

Weekend Commitment

4-5 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix. Shifts may be Day, Evening, or Night.

Holiday Commitment

Expected to work at least 1 major holiday per department need. Shifts may be Day, Evening, or Night.

Call Requirements

4-5 call shifts within a 6-week matrix (will be taken as a preference).

Call Back Time

30-minute call back response time required.
