Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The RN assists physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitors patients before, during, and after procedures, and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures
- Review patient medical history, medications, and consent forms
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD
- Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels during procedures
- Administer medications and IV sedation as ordered
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education
- Assess and monitor patients during recovery
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
- Ensure proper cleaning and handling of endoscopy equipment
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care
Required Qualifications:
- CA-RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
3 Year of RN-Endoscopy acute care experience is required
Note: Only travelers are preferred for this position. Local candidates will be considered at a lower pay rate.
