Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS/RAD) – Travel Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS or Radiologic Technologist – RAD) to support a high-acuity Cardiac Catheterization Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including structural heart, coronary, and peripheral vascular cases.

Position Details

• Position: Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS / RAD)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (variable start 7:00–8:00 AM)
• Shift Type: 5 x 8-hour shifts
• Call Requirement:
  • Approximately 1 day per week
  • 1 weekend per month
• Location Requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from facility (travel eligible)

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technologist functions as a key member of a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team, assisting in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role includes scrub and monitoring responsibilities, operation of cath lab imaging equipment, and support during complex cardiac and vascular cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Support structural heart, coronary, and peripheral interventions
• Operate and assist with radiology imaging and cath lab equipment
• Monitor patient status during invasive procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and procedural efficiency
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and cardiovascular team members
• Respond to on-call cases, including urgent/emergent procedures
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and procedural accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Certification: RCIS or Radiologic Technologist (RAD) required
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Degree in related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) OR equivalent experience required

• Strong ability to scrub and assist in complex cardiovascular procedures
• Experience with peripheral and diagnostic catheterization procedures
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical priorities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in high-acuity settings
• Competence with cath lab imaging and monitoring systems

Preferred Experience

• Structural heart procedure experience
• Diagnostic and therapeutic coronary intervention experience
• Peripheral vascular intervention experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) lab experience

Work Environment

• High-acuity invasive cardiovascular procedural lab
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and technologists
