Travel Radiology Technologist 

Schedule-Days 5x8Monday - Friday 7a-3:30p.

 

 

Facility & Location Overview

  • Location: Charlotte, NC 28207
  • Facility Size: 244 Licensed Beds (16 ED suites, ~20 ICU beds, ~40 Progressive beds, 16 OR suites)
  • Accreditations: TJC Stroke Accredited (No Trauma designation)
  • Services Offered: X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine (with Radiology Nursing support)
  • Radius Rule: Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the unit.

🕒 Position & Scheduling Details

  • Experience Level: Minimum 2 years required (First-time travelers accepted)
  • Floating: None
  • On-Call: Yes, 2 shifts per month (if needed)
  • Holidays: Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
  • Requested Time Off (RTO): Subject to manager approval
  • Onboarding: 1 day administrative (Epic/eLearnings) + 2 days to 1 week unit orientation

Postings / Shift Options Provided:

  • Option A: Full-Time | Monday – Thursday | 1430 – 2130 (2:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
  • Option B: 40 Hours | Monday – Friday | 0700 – 1530 (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

🩺 Clinical Environment & Scope

  • Department Volume: High volume; ~120 studies/day (higher on weekdays) at 100% inpatient capacity.
  • Patient Mix: Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient.
  • Core Skills: Fluid ED workflow, Fluoroscopy, Portables, and advanced Operating Room imaging.
  • Support: Dedicated Guest Services and Transport support for Inpatient/Observation moves.

  • Software Systems: Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS
  • X-Ray & R&F Room Equipment: Philips Diagnost R/F, Intelli C R/F, Shimadzu RadSpeed (ED)
  • Portable Units: Shimadzu MD8, Konica mKDR Xpress
  • Surgical / OR Imaging: GE OEC Elite C-arms, Mini C's (Digital Flat Panel), Medtronic O-arm, Globus G-arm
