Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds -1 IR suite and 4 holding bays
• Number of Staff – 2 techs, 3 RNs, 4 PRN staff
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 2 techs and 2-3 RNs
  • Night Shift – 1 tech and 1 RN call
• Patient Ratios – 1:1, estimated never guaranteed
• Type of equipment – GE Allura
• EMR -Meditech / Centricity PACS

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:  (IR Technologist)

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

•  Minimum 6 months of current acute care IR Tech experience
• ARRT (R) & BLS
• Strong organizational skills

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Critical care and IR experience
• Expert knowledge of Vascular procedures

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

•  Lung, liver, kidney bx, port/line placements and drain placements,
• Para/thoracentesis, kyphoplasty and sedation for other imaging departments i.e. MRI/CT
