Job Opportunity: RN Acute Rehab
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description
- Provide acute rehabilitation nursing care with a med/surg background in an inpatient setting.
- Confident clinical skills required; prior travel experience is mandatory.
- Work alongside regular staff on a rotating schedule every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
- Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system.
- May be required to float within your skill set to other sites within a 40-mile radius as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of one year of rehabilitation nursing experience, with rehabilitation experience within the last year.
- Prior travel nursing experience with at least one completed travel assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Experience in an inpatient setting.
- Med/surg nursing background.
Onboarding and Documentation Requirements
- Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
- Current license verification through Nursys and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of signed assignment agreement and onboarding paperwork including photo badge (headshot with white or blue background, no filters).
- Completion of specialty exam and core competencies prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of unit-specific checklists and Epic test-out with signed attestation prior to start.
- Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding modules.
- Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start.
- Employment and education verifications covering the past seven years, updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days.
- Skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually.
- Confirmation of assignment documentation for initial and extended assignments.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to float to other units or sites within 40 miles if needed, within your skill set.
- Prior travel nursing experience is explicitly required.
- This is a night shift position with a 12.5-hour shift length.
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with acute rehab and med/surg backgrounds who are comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment and have prior travel nursing experience.
