Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (LTC)

• Contract Length: 16 weeks

Shift & Schedule

• Evening shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (14:30 - 22:45)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend as requested by the center
• Shift changes or requests off (RTO) cannot be made once the offer is accepted
• Call-outs require more than 24 hours' notice
• Night shift (NOC) is slower paced; 12-hour shifts require prior staffing approval

Facility & Patient Population

• 300-bed long-term care facility including rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, wound care
• Patient population includes Alzheimer's and Dementia patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio approximately 1:18-20

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or recent experience in related specialties such as rehab, med-surg, or hospital settings
• Must hold a valid New York State RN license (no license hits allowed)
• BLS certification required (accepted from any recognized entity; online-only courses acceptable)
• Government-issued photo ID required (copy of front only)
• Background check within 1 year, including 7-year residential/work history and sex offender check
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Harassment Prevention Training certificate required
• Physical exam within 1 year, completed within 48-72 hours of contract signing
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (not required annually)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccinations, booster if titer low)
• Flu vaccine or declination on file year-round; mask required if vaccine declined during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
• Pneumonia vaccination proof or declination required
• Drug screening not required by facility but required for direct candidates (negative 9-panel within 1 year)
• Two professional references required (within 2 years of start date)

Orientation & Compliance

• Start dates every 2 weeks aligned with orientation schedule
• Compliance process takes 1.5-2 weeks
• No medication passes required
• Relias training modules assigned after offer acceptance; must be completed before assignment start date with minimum passing scores (80% on modules, 90% on medication exam)
• Additional modules may be assigned post-start and must be completed by assigned due dates

• Charting system: PCC (Point Click Care), but submission not required

• No mileage reimbursement
• Fingerprinting required for CNA candidates (facility coordinates appointment)

This position welcomes first-time travel nurses. Prior travel experience is not required.
