Job Opportunity: OB RN (Labor, Delivery, Post Partum) - Nights (7pm to 7am)

Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care on the OB unit, including labor/delivery, recovery, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under charge nurse supervision.
• Manage supplies and equipment.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and hospital personnel.
• Adhere to nursing standards, hospital policies on confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Computer skills
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate

Schedule

• Night shift: 7pm to 7am
