MRI Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Maryville, Tennessee
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), 5 days a week, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Evening shift MRI Technologist position on a travel/contract basis.
• Requires 1 year of EPIC experience.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year.
• ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI OR ARRT registered in MRI OR ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience with Epic system.

Compliance and Background Requirements

• 7-year background check within 12 months of start date, including alias and multi-state/county searches as applicable.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter.
• Drug screening within 1 year of start, updated annually (5-panel minimum).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years if working in high-risk areas.
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption required annually (not required for remote workers).
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; second vaccine can be pending if collected within 28 days of first.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination.
• Fingerprinting required if applicable based on residency/work history.

Orientation and Training

• Completion of online modules within 72 hours of assignment; required before start.
• Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Medication) required prior to orientation for applicable roles.
• Annual competency exams and core training modules required, including:

  • Core Parts I, II, and III (covering universal precautions, cultural diversity, pain management, OSHA, TJC National Patient Safety Goals, etc.)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam annually.
• HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgments required annually.

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience; prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Badge photo required prior to start with specific guidelines (passport style, plain background, no obstructions).
• Floating policy and contractor acknowledgment documents must be signed and are renewed annually.
• Respirator fit testing will be completed onsite during orientation.
