Job Opportunity: Technologist (PET CT)
Location

- 10-hour day shifts

Job Description
- Perform PET/CT imaging procedures with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns.
- Interpret physician orders and select appropriate imaging parameters and software options.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images to assist accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and adherence to radiation safety regulations.
- Document properly when handling radioactive materials and patients.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment including scanners, mobile coaches, monitors, PACS, and coils.
- Train new technologists and/or patient care staff as needed.
- Work environments may include outpatient centers, mobile units, or inpatient hospital settings.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of PET/CT technologist experience (minimum)
- Dual certification as a PET/CT technologist:
- ARRT (CT) and ARRT (N) certifications OR
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification for both CT and Nuclear Medicine
- Valid New York state licenses for both CT Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience with GE Discovery IQ equipment preferred
