- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
- First-time travel therapists accepted
- Prior travel experience not required
Work Schedule
- Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 to 7:15)
- Weekend requirement: every third weekend
- Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs
Licensure & Certifications
- Must hold a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Pending license accepted
- Required certifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Clinical Skills & Competencies
- Airway management and suctioning including:
- Endotracheal tube suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal and oral airway suctioning and placement
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
- Medication administration experience with:
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent
- Inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids
- Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (INo)
- Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex
- Familiarity with medication delivery systems:
- Aerosol setup mask and trach
- Metered dose inhaler
- Nebulizer use including handheld, T-piece, trach collar, ultrasonic
- Oxygen therapy including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Ventilator management:
- BiPAP, CPAP
- Troubleshooting high pressure alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) interpretation
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system required

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Additional Requirements & Information
- Local candidates within 75 miles radius are not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 7 days
- Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Must have government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
- Background checks required including criminal, education verification, and state-specific searches
- Drug testing required within 1 year of start and must remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing required annually (N95 respirators)
- Immunization and health document requirements include:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Facility-specific compliance documents must be completed prior to start, including:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire
- Confidentiality Form
- Regulatory Compliance Education (annual quiz with minimum 80% score)
- Hand Hygiene, Fingernail, and Dress Code policies
- Orientation modules required through online learning platform unless previously completed in current calendar year
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
- Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
- Must provide a recent badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
Parking
- Monthly parking passes available for a fee (varies by lot)
- No charge for parking if working straight night shifts (employee parking available)
- Day/night rotation shifts require paid parking pass
