Job Summary

Assist healthcare team during intra-operative period.
Prepare and handle surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist surgeon during surgical procedures.
Provide care and equipment use for patients from neonate through geriatric.
Prioritize and problem-solve in dynamic surgical environments.
Recognize and respond immediately to urgent or emergency situations.
Apply knowledge of medical terminology, metric system, and aseptic technique in patient and family interactions.

Responsibilities

Maintain aseptic technique during surgical duties to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Care for, prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation.
Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts consistently according to policy.
Adhere to professional standards of practice.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
High School Diploma or GED.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.

Shift and Hours

Day shift: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
10 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Work Fridays.
On-call every 5th weekend (Saturday-Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM).
