Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Washington, District of Columbia
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, procedural areas, ICU, or ER
- Experience with moderate sedation administration for procedures
- IV start experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior travel experience required: at least 1 previous travel assignment completed
- Flu vaccine required (facility policy)
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- One weekend on-call every 4-6 weeks (no other weekend requirements)
- Weekday on-call approximately once every other week
- Possible float to Cath Lab holding area
- No holiday requests off allowed
Compliance and Documentation
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Required immunizations/documentation: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B titer or series, Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (must score 80% or higher; specific lethal rhythm section requires 100%)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start date
Experience Verification
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Verification of at least 2 years of employment in the past 7 years, including 1 prior travel assignment
