Registered Nurse (PCU Telemetry) - 13-Week Contract

Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Job Details

Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Telemetry
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Size: 21 beds
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
Floating Requirements:
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
- Float to ICU only for PCU patient status
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, if needed
Additional Shift Requirements: Possible 2 extra mandatory shifts every 6 weeks
Patient Population: Many cardiac patients, including post-Cath Lab patients

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Nebraska or multi-state compact license
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Experience:
- PCU/Telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience caring for post-Cath Lab patients preferred

Additional Information

This is a traveler-friendly facility
Nurses will be the first to float when required
Night shift with 12-hour shifts and every other weekend coverage
