Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Services

Location: Mount Clemens, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work within a surgical services team performing a full spectrum of procedures across various specialties, including general elective surgeries and critical/life-saving operations.
• Collaborate with certified anesthesiologists, circulating nurses, specialized OR nurses, and technicians to monitor surgical procedures and patient safety throughout operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Proficiency in endoscopy required.
• Travel experience highly preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Michigan RN license verification required (active at time of submission).
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required.
• References not required.
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
• Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

• 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital.
• Services include cardiovascular care, cancer services, orthopedic services, and elective surgery.
• Verified Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Center.
• Teaching hospital with residency and fellowship programs in multiple specialties.

Additional Information

• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
• Local traveler policy: Residents within 35 miles considered local travelers.
• Overtime, holiday, and callback pay at 1.1x regular rates.
• Initial 12 nonbillable hours on bill rates over $40/hr.
• Extension discount applies to initial extension hours.
