Mammography Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• Daily Caseload: Variable
• Facility Type: Outpatient Imaging Center

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Virginia (permanent VA license required at start; temporary not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT certification
• ARRT Advanced certification
• Experience working in an outpatient setting

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • Lifetime background check within 1 year prior to start, including SSN trace, federal and state criminal searches, education verification, and others as specified
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education Verification: Highest degree must be verified via third party (minimum high school for techs)
• References: Two references required; one from current year and one within last two years, from supervisors or equivalent
• Employment Application: Must be completed and match work history verification
• Work History Verification: Minimum 2 years required; 10 years if only CRT license held
• Skills Checklist: Required for all clinical candidates
• Facility-Specific Documents: Must sign code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, job description, orientation packet, and Epic experience screening form prior to start
• Competency Exams: Required for all clinical candidates, including medication/pharmacology competency and color blindness testing

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year prior to start
• Fit Mask (N95) Testing: Required annually, documentation must state N95 and passing result
• TB Testing: Negative TB skin test, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; negative chest X-ray within 5 years if TB positive
• TB Questionnaire: Annual if past positive TB history
• Immunizations:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines; boosters or declination allowed
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, vaccine series, or declination; first booster required prior to start
  • Varicella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines; boosters or declination allowed
• Drug Testing: Within 30 days prior to start; must include specific panels (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, PCP)
• Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31); medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• COVID Vaccination: Not required but documentation must be on file; declination accepted
