Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location

Portland, Maine

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 26 weeks

Work Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: 36 per month (unless otherwise noted)
Call requirement: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift

Job Description

Replacement for full-time night shift staff member
Float requirements include working as RRT in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, adult acute, and critical care
Work covers the entire facility as part of a team of 14-16 RRTs

Patient Care & Unit Information

Patient ratios: Acute care 1:25, Critical care 1:8
Equipment used: Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Type of patients: varied, including tertiary, teaching hospital, and level 1 trauma cases

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
Experience working with Pediatric, Neonate, and Adult patients
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic respiratory therapy

Flexible and team-oriented
Strong communication skills

Dress Code

Scrubs provided or flexible regarding scrub color
