All of our Nursing Staff is in Caribbean Blue scrubs. This is a requirement for accepting the position.
Reporting to the DON, the LVN works in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families and other facility departments to provide optimum individualized nursing care for the residents of the SNF service.
This position description is intended to identify some of the duties and responsibilities of this position. Modoc Medical Center reserves the right to modify, supplement, delete or augment the duties and responsibilities specified in this position description, at MODOC MEDICAL CENTER's sole and absolute discretion.

Job requirements

A CA licensed nurse with good physical and mental health.
Current BLS level CPR certification.
Good physical health and stamina with the ability to walk, bend, lift and have the dexterity to perform the manual skills required for patient care.
Good mental health.
Dependable, reliable with a history of good attendance.
Strong assessment skills and the ability to be resourceful in emergency situations.

Schedule information

Work hours are determined based on needs of the department.

Unit specific information

Assists nursing staff in other departments, as requested and if qualified, when need arises.

Additional Details

Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and professional.
Completes annual education requirements if applicable.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work in designated time.

I like the rural community, staff was nice, chill and helpful.

Cons

if you’re not an outdoors person, this is not your place. I did a three month contract 4 years ago, and I just completed a six-month contract. At the very end, a new Director came aboard. Needless to say I won’t be back…
