Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Kansas

Job Details

• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM), Monday-Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: Evening, weekend, and holiday call required with a 30-minute response time
• Floating: No floating outside of OR; may float within designated zone only in extreme need
• Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation with checkoffs and support until comfortable; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week

Unit Information

• Operating Rooms: 4 OR suites plus 1 GI Endoscopy Room
• Average Cases per Day: 10
• Common Cases: Robotic/laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, appendectomies, basic orthopedic, gynecology, podiatry
• Staffing: At least 1 OR tech and 1 first assistant per case
• EMR System: Epic
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

• Charge nurse or house supervisor roles exist but this position will not cover those duties
• Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
• Must submit driver's license and be within a 60-mile radius for assignment logistics
