ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Mission Hills, California

Position Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
• Fire Card
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations/Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required during flu season; declination accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• TB Test: Negative TB test (IGRA/TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs) within 12 months; annual updates required
• Drug Screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months; instant tests acceptable
• Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for respirator use; completed via virtual questionnaire
• Fit Mask Test: Required annually; completed onsite unless valid record within 1 year exists

Competencies and Training

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units
• Epic Charting System: Experience with Epic preferred; candidates must complete Epic training modules as assigned
• Annual Regulatory Training: Required via Workramp LMS, including core, specialty-specific, and regional modules
• Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other nearby facilities within the system
