Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work setting includes Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department.
• Procedures and equipment experience required:

  • Nebulized medication therapy (AeroEclipse, Aerobika flutter valves)
  • Chest percussion and bedside parameters (FVC/NIF) for neuro population
  • V60 BiPAP
  • Comfort Flow Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula Systems
  • Transport ventilators
  • Glidescope intubation and bronchoscopy system
  • Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
  • Bedside bronchoscopies
  • Percutaneous tracheostomy
  • Radiometer ABL 90 Flex analyzers
  • Nebulized Epoprostenol
  • HeliOx services

Note: Time off requests during holidays will not be accommodated. Holidays include major U.S. and local holidays throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Additional Information

• Orientation is bi-weekly.
• Holiday time off requests are restricted; exceptions may be discussed onsite after arrival.
• Utility bill or lease/mortgage statement required showing address at least 75 miles from contracted facility.
• Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge.
• Background check must include 7 years of history with alias name attestation if applicable.
• All certifications must be current and uploaded as actual certificates (screenshots/photos not accepted).
• Renewal of certifications must be uploaded 5 days prior to expiration.
• Flu vaccine declinations will not be accepted; only approved medical or religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation.
