Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)

Location: Milford, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (5x8 hours)
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Wednesdays 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Weekends: Very limited weekend shifts required
• Patient Population: Adults only, primarily Orthopedics, Neurology, ICU, and Oncology patients
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
  • Inpatient experience required for submission
• Preferred: Previous experience with Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
• Required vaccinations or valid declinations (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (3-dose series or immune titer)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination
• Additional facility-specific declinations required if declining vaccines

Compliance and Documentation

• Must provide 2 professional references within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist completed prior to start and updated annually
• Valid government-issued photo ID required
• Massachusetts statewide iCORI clearance within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification of highest completed degree (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
• Pass/fail testing for medication administration and telemetry (if applicable) with minimum 80% score on first day of orientation
