Travel RN Opportunity – Cardiac PCU / Angioplasty Recovery (PTCA)

Position Overview

• Specialty: Cardiac PCU / Angioplasty Recovery (PTCA)
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 (Every other weekend required)
• Call: None
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 or 5:1 (including specialty teams with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman)
• Unit Beds: 14
• Float Requirements: Yes – may float to Med Surg or PCU

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac PCU experience (must have cardiac or pre/post cath lab experience; PACU alone not accepted)
• Comfortable managing a 4-5 patient intermediate acuity team
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, Kentucky RN License
• Skills: IV insertion, telemetry/dysrhythmia monitoring, 12-lead EKG interpretation

Preferred Qualifications

• PCCN certification
• Experience with sheath pulls and pre/post cath lab care

Unit & Equipment

• Equipment includes Phillips Telemetry Monitors, Safeguards, FemStops, TR Bands, Temporary Pacemakers (TVP)
• Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner

Patient Population

• Cardiac recovery patients, including those post-angioplasty and other advanced cardiac procedures
