Prepare to cross train to ER even if you’ve never worked ER. Prepare to cross train to med surg even if you’ve never worked med surg. They have their nurses work both med surg and ER weekly. Prepare to take call every month multiple times. Small hospital with small staff, they will have take call 4 hours before or after your shift. You need to prepare to work 14-16 hours. If unit is full prepare for hefty patient ratios
