PM shift nursing assistants are very helpful and responsible. Many times, manager uses nursing assistants to be a sitter. We don’t have nursing assistants on the floor helping patients.

1. Inexperienced manager Erica Jacobs who doesn’t know how to run Med Surg Tele unit. No the continuity of patients care. 2. Unfair and unequal workload distribution are being made by 9 Filipino charge nurses led to monopoly, bias, prejudice such as easy assignments routinely give to Filipino nurses. 3. No nursing station to sit and chart. Nurses and nursing assistants have to stand on our feet to chart on the computer vow. 4. Understaffed in all shifts. No nursing assistants to help clean and reposition 20-30 patients but one manager has 3 assistant nurse managers to help and do most of her job. 5. OSHA issued 7 alleges violation to San Leandro Vice President Christopher Adams for no Safety Committee, no place to hang PPE like face shield, no RED biohazard bin inside each patient’s room, mixed CRE producer with other patients assignments, etc. 6. Manager and assistant nurse managers constantly harass nurses for clocking out late because we don’t have nursing assistants on the floor. Nurses have to provide total incontinence care without a help. 7. Ridiculous demand to change bed sheets at night shift while patients are sleeping.

Staff: friendly, supportive and works as a team Ratio: 1:4 or lower based on acuity Patient culture: mostly cooperative, various languages with easy access to translators via iPad or phone Breaks are mandatory and uninterrupted!
