This role covers Telemetry, Bariatrics, and Oncology. The Director has a 24-hour, 7 days a week responsibility to provide leadership for the cost center (s). This includes planning, organizing, staff development, performance management, quality fiscal and information management, regulatory compliance, building and enhancing relationships through customer relations, and appropriate professional involvement. The Director is accountable for the management of the cost center(s) within the established budget.  <li>Implement the selection of accountability measure sets selected by the Hospital District Leadership (Example,   Core Measures, HCAHPS, CALNOC, CA Heath Engagement Network (HEN).</li>

 <li>Establishes and maintains policies and procedures for Emergency Department and the recommendations of the staff and physicians are taken into consideration.  Policies and procedures are developed, maintained, and adhered to as required. </li>
 <li>Establishes and attends to budget for Emergency Department and the recommendations of the staff and physicians are taken into consideration. </li>
 <li>Inspects use and condition of equipment and supplies, and cleanliness of department by rounding on patients and/with EVS leadership.</li>
 <li>Maintains a spirit of cooperation among all members of Emergency Department. </li>
 <li>Coordinates the Emergency department schedule, plans appropriate staffing, equipment and instruments needed. </li>
 <li>Identifies interdepartmental problems and works towards satisfactory solutions.</li>
 <li>Manages resources of the department consistent with the organization’s strategic plan and fiscal plans.  Annual objectives for the department are established and achieved that support the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and goals.  Employees and other effected parties are involved in the department planning process.</li>
 <li>Collaborates with leaders throughout HDMC to ensure the lines of communication remain open and the continuity of care and high quality of care remains a priority at HDMC.</li>
