Description
Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is looking for an RN - Emergency Department to start right away.
Location: Rochester, NY
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the emergency department.
- Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
- Manage CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators, and provide care for patients with neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and perform emergency care for various conditions, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma.
- Implement isolation precautions and perform triage duties as required.
- Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and efficient documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
- Active New York Single State RN license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
- Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency care.
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as needed.
