Job Summary

Under the general direction of a physician specializing in cardiology or radiology, the Cath Lab Rad Technician will assist in scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiological and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Responsibilities include ensuring the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitoring instrument and supply inventories, and participating in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. This role also supports the training of new staff and assists in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification and license as required by State, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Technologist) or VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCI) preferred.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Interventional Radiology department is required.
• Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program with an emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills are necessary.
