We are looking for an experienced Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic team specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at a Level One Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in this fast-paced, high-stress environment, and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills.

Position Summary

The Travel CST will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures, specifically in Gynecology and Genitourinary disciplines, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and maintaining a sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons and other surgical staff to prepare for and assist in surgical procedures.
• Ensure equipment is sterile and properly functioning for all procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomy, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomy, Cystectomy, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopy, and Ureteroscopy.
• Provide care for a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a CST, preferably in a Level One Trauma setting.
• Current CST certification required.
• Proficiency in both general surgical procedures and specialized areas such as GU/GYN and trauma.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekend and overnight shifts as part of trauma call requirements.

Equipment and Environment

• Work is conducted in an operating room setting with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Equipment utilized includes Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot, with electronic medical records managed through Epic.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience in additional specialties such as Orthopedic Trauma, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, and Endovascular procedures is preferred.
• A flexible, accountable, timely approach and a strong commitment to teamwork are essential.

Dress Code

• Teal scrubs will be issued by the facility.
