Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an Acute Care setting. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit.
- Monitor patient health and execute care plans effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with various procedures and administer medications as prescribed.
- Participate in patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Document patient care in accordance with facility policies using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, including at least 1 travel assignment.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from AHA.
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Shift Details
- Nights: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As needed
Unit Information
- 44 beds with a staffing ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6.
- Nurse Aides are available at a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10.
- General orientation lasts 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation.
- Floating to all acute care and cardio units may be required.
