Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) collaborates with residents and healthcare providers to establish a safe and supportive therapeutic environment by delivering both direct and indirect patient care.

Unit Descriptions

• 3 East: A 31-bed specialized unit focused on residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. This unit prioritizes tailored care that involves both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to address challenging behaviors and validate residents' needs in a home-like environment.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: A 42-bed unit offering short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgeries, strokes, and other conditions. Services include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• 3 West: A 42-bed long-term care unit dedicated to providing supportive care in a home-like environment for residents requiring extended placement.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• Experience: 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Skills:
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative care team.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 as needed.
  • Willingness to float to other units as necessary.

Certifications

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
