Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to provide expert nutritional guidance and support in a mental health and recovery center. This position is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of individuals through tailored dietary interventions and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized meal plans for patients based on their health conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide integrated care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on nutritional practices and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Monitor patients’ progress and modify meal plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Commission on Dietetic Registration if registered before 12/31/2023, OR Master’s degree with Commission on Dietetic Registration if registered after 12/31/2023 (Required).
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (Required).
• Food Handlers Card (FH) from an ANSI-approved program in Virginia (Required; must be obtained within 30 days).
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential (Preferred).
• Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian (CNSD) credential (Preferred).

Schedule Information

This is a full-time position scheduled for five 8-hour days, generally from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
